Every clinician at CPS is a highly trained, independent expert — not an interchangeable provider. From our founder Dr. Szykula to our newest practitioners, the standard is the same: evidence-based care, measurable outcomes, and genuine commitment to your wellbeing.
Founder since 1986
Dr. Steve founded Comprehensive Psychological Services in 1986 with a mission to bring evidence-based behavioral health care to Utah families. A University of Tennessee-trained psychologist, he has spent nearly 40 years building a practice where the best clinicians in Utah can practice at the highest level — and where clients get real, measurable outcomes. Dr. Szykula remains actively involved in clinical supervision across the practice and consults regularly with all practitioners. He is the author of "Get Off the Bus" and "Good Parent," and has dedicated his career to advancing the science and practice of psychological care.
